What We Believe

God

We believe in the Almighty and Holy God of heaven, who has existed for all eternity as the trinity.  One God, three persons, in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Following Jesus

We believe that Jesus is the only son of God and the promised Messiah spoken of in the Bible.  We believe that Jesus lived a sinless life and gave Himself to pay the penalty of our sin by being crucified on a cross.  We also believe that He was raised from the dead three days later.

We believe that if we place our hope and trust in Jesus Christ, we will be saved.  The Bible states that if we believe in Jesus, we will be born again and will be called the children of God.

Word

We believe that the Bible is the authority for faith and practice.  We believe that God spoke His word to us and so it is inspired, infallible and inerrant.

Christian Life

We believe that in loving God, serving God, and obeying God, we experience spiritual growth and mature as christians.  This growth is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of us and the word of God active in our lives.

Marriage
 
We believe in the Biblical teaching of marriage as defined as one man and one woman.  We believe that marriage is both a gift from God and holy to God.  Therefore, sex is reserved for the marriage covenant.

Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ as described in the Bible.  Therefore, we exist to glorify God and make Him known.  We also believe that each member of the body of Christ is important and essential to the church, accomplishing the mission of Jesus Christ on the earth today.

Eternity

We believe, just as the Bible declared, that Jesus will come.  And He did.  He will also come again, just as the Bible foretells.

We believe that when this life ends, our soul and spirit will continue on for eternity.  We also believe that we will spend eternity in one of two places.  We will spend eternity either with God in heaven or separated from God in hell.
